Full day or Half Day Tours in private Van – based on minimum 4 passengers, maximum 8 passengers. Larger Groups possible. Please call for information and pricing.

(Price includes pick up/drop off at hotel or other location, private guide and van for the full or half day). Extra costs are any meals, admission to Champagne houses (between 15 and 50 euro pp) (museums, forts. (Usually between 4 and 11 euro pp)

EXAMPLES

REIMS & VINEYARDS:
In the morning visit the 13th century Cathedral of Reims where most of the Kings of France were crowned.
Visit a champagne cellar from a prestigious Maison de Champagne: Nice cellars to visit are: Veuve Cliquot, Pommery, Taittinger or Ruinart)
Lunch at Reims or Epernay
In the afternoon visit the vineyard of Champagne discovering some of the picturesque villages of the Montagne de Reims & Marne Valley.
Visit the village of Hautvillers, upon the Marne River, and see the Church from the old abbey where Dom Perignon invented Champagne, and discover his grave.
Enjoy a visit to a small wine grower winery and tasting as well.
Back to Reims.

NB: We can also visit a Maison de Champagne at Epernay: Moet et Chandon or Mercier / we can visit the champagne avenue at Epernay / there is also a whiskey Producer in the Montagne de Reims (Guillon) and we can include a visit (free) / We can have a walking tour in Reims too as it is a lovely town.

VERDUN & BATTLEFIELDS:
Start from Reims in the morning and drive toward Verdun (1h20)
Full day visit of the battlefield of Verdun including the Fort Douaumont, Ossuary, a destroyed village, the bois des Caures, where the battle started & the Mémorial Museum.

NB: All clients but particularly Americans clients will be interested in splitting the day – Half day Verdun (Fort, Ossuary, Destroyed villages) & Argonne (Montfaucon Tower, Meuse Argonne cemetery & stop at a real WWI trench) / or even spend full day in the Argonne.
