Prague – Praha in Czech, is the capital and largest city of the Czech Republic. Situated on the Vltava River, it is home to approximately 1.2 million inhabitants and extremely popular with tourists because it is so beautiful and well-preserved. Its most famous nick-name is “the Paris of the East”. The historic centre of Prague is a world UNESCO site which means it is a special place to visit! It contains one of the world’s most pristine and varied collections of architecture, from Art Nouveau to Baroque, Cubist, Gothic, Neo-Classical and ultra-modern. The Old Town centre (Stare Mesto), an area of cobbled streets around a market square leading to Charles Bridge and Prague Castle, is relatively small and best seen on foot with one of our local tours. Don’t forget to stop into a 500 year old pub and enjoy some of the best beer you have ever tasted!
Budapest, Hungary –Budapest is said to be one of the top 30 cities in the world to visit. One of the most exciting cities in the world, Budapest is full of secrets, and hidden spots to explore both from its ancient past and its more recent Communist era History. Visit Buda’s old town where Castle Hill has been a cultural and strategic point for centuries. It went through several periods of siege and then of reconstruction, which created a unique district that has a fascinating mix of architectural styles. No visit is complete unless you see the spectacular Mátyás Church and the Buda Royal Palace which was built in the 14th century, and rebuilt 400 years later. It now houses the Budapest History Museum, the Hungarian National Gallery and the National Széchenyi Library. In addition, the views over Pest from the Fishermen’s Bastion will take your breath away! It is safe to say that in Budapest there will never be dull moment!
